Although there was no cure or effective treatment through western medicine, shortly after incorporating alternative medical treatment and lifestyle changes prescribed by her practitioner, Dilyana's symptoms were completely alleviated. To this day, her own experience greatly impacts her desire to help others achieve success in their own health.

Aside from her practice, Dilyana has spent countless hours working with orphanages, seniors, new immigrants, and people with various disabilities - both through private organizations and the Red Cross.

In her spare time, Dilyana focuses on self-growth and family time. She enjoys an array of health practices and playtime with her kids and partner.

Acupuncture is an ancient form of healing which pre-dates recorded history. Its philosophy is rooted in the Taoist tradition which dates back more than 8000 years. Within the last few decades Acupuncture has become widely accepted in Western societies, receiving acknowledgement from the World Health Organization (WHO) as an effective form of medical treatment for a vast number of conditions and diseases.

Acupuncture involves a technique that relies upon the placement of hair-thin needles along specified points on the body in order to rebalance the body's energy flow, resulting in a positive therapeutic effect.

True health and wellness is more than the mere absence of disease, or the diagnosis of an ailment.

Our goal at Vista Wellness is to work together to achieve your health potential, allowing you to improve your quality of life. We not only focus our treatments on the alleviation of your symptoms, but also on the body as a whole.

In our modern society, natural therapies and Traditional Chinese Medicine are becoming more and more readily accepted. It is a safe and effective alternative or complement to western medicine. TCM focuses on disease prevention, treating chronic or acute ailments, as well as addressing the impact that spiritual and emotional well-being has on one's health.

At Vista Wellness we offer the community in Richmond BC a vast array of Acupuncture, Herbology and Alternative Medicine services to assist you on your path to wellness.

The history of using plants as medicine precedes written documentation. Herbal medicine is one of several modalities within TCM that seeks to restore a state of balance and harmony within the body. We use a wide variety of herbs and plant extracts with the end goal being the alleviation of present symptoms, as well as the appropriate resolution of the underlying cause of the disease and symptoms.

The herbs used at Vista Wellness undergo strict and ongoing quality control and testing, and are monitored and tested for pesticides, chemical residue, pH, and heavy metals to ensure strict adherence to qualitative and quantitative standards.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a safe and non-surgical procedure in which fine, disposable needles are placed at various pressure points on the face and body to stimulate energy. This technique views the face as an extension of the meridians of the body, which flow from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head. Superficial needle insertion may increase local blood circulation to the face and stimulate collagen and elastin production, which could fill out facial lines and give firmness to the skin for a healthy, glowing complexion.

Cupping is a therapy designed to stimulate the flow of blood and Qi (vital energy) within the superficial muscle layers. It produces a feeling of relaxation and invigoration, and is used to treat sore muscles, tension, neck pain, the common cold and has many other wonderful therapeutic effects.

Our practitioners will place small glass "cups" over specified areas of your body. A vacuum is created under the cup using heat or suction. The cups may be moved over the affected area, or left in place. Slight redness is occasionally experienced, but it usually dissipates quickly. Most patients report that cupping feels like a "reverse massage", and they look forward to it as a part of their regular visits.

Orthomolecular medicine (vitamin therapy) uses vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to return an unwell body to wellness. Today's average North American diet is often inadequate in providing us with necessary nutrients. There are numerous conditions such as depression, digestive ailments and skin disease to name but a few, that can benefit enormously from appropriate supplementation.

Nutrient deficiency is highly individual, and we work closely with Naturopathic Doctors to ensure that we are able to provide you with access to the knowledge and products you require to achieve optimal wellness.

At Vista Wellness we are happy to offer Thorne Reasearch Supplements to ensure our patients have access to diatery supplements with the highest level of quality and purity.
